In this video and text tutorial you will learn how to add a CMS (Content Management System) to your Static HTML website.

Step 1: You will need a website with one or more pages.In this instance I have created a single page html template as you can see below:

Step 2: Using a html editor, this is instance I have used Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, you will have to incorporate a class script into that section of your html page where you want it to have the CMS function and say   class=”cushycms”

Step 3: Save the index.html page and upload/ftp it to your server via Filezilla

Step 4: Google for cushycms and find the first link and sign in if you have not already signed in by giving your name, valid email id and a password, it will also ask you to reconfirm the password and finally agree to the terms and click on get started button.

Cushycms is a free software so you can use this absolutely free.

Step 5: You will be redirected to a different page, now click on Add New Site button as shown below:

Step 6: On clicking on Add New Site blue button, it will redirect you to a page where  you will have to put in the actual URL of the site you want to add a CMS to, then put in all your server details ie: hostname, user, password and then click on the choose with FTP browser and select the directory you want to add the CMS to as shown below:

Step 7: Now you will have to assign page to your site, by clicking on the button as shown below:

Step 8: From the redirected page, click on index.html and give your page a name and click on assign page, as shown below:

Step 9: From the redirected page, click on the page link where the small green arrow from the left points as shown below:

Go ahead and make the changes to your webpage and publish it, you changes will be made from the control panel using cushycms.
