The Drip effect is a fun and creative photo effect available in Canva. When applied, it makes your image appear as if it’s melting or dripping down the page.
Step – 1: Open Canva with the custom size of Width 1100px and Height 800px.
Step – 2: Go to Elements > Shapes and type “Square”.
Step – 3: Now lets search for drip effect images. Go to Elements > Graphics and type “drip“. You’ll now see a variety of drip elements. Click on one to add it to your design.
Step – 4: From the top menu, select Share. From the dropdown, choose a file type for your image download as PNG. Then select Download.
Step – 5: Once the image is downloaded, then click on “+ Add page” and create a new page Page 2.
Step – 6: Go to the Uploads tab on the left side of the editor. Drag and drop the downloaded drip png file directly into the Uploads tab.
Step – 7: Now you can adjust the size and the position of the drip image as needed.
Step – 8: Select Edit image > BG Remover to remove the background of the drip image.
Step – 9: Let’s adjust the image frame into perfect by reducing the extra spaces.
Step – 10: Select Edit image and choose Duotone effect to apply it to the image.
Step – 11: Under the Duotone tab, go and select any of the below. Here I have chose the Cherry option.
Step – 12: Hence the color of our drip image will change to default cherry color.
Step – 13: Here I have selected the page background color as “Green“ to make the drip effect more visible. Later we can remit the background color as white.
Step – 14: On the toolbar above the editor, select Edit image and choose BG Remover also known as Background Remover to remove the background of the drip image.
Step – 15: Now the image will look like below
Step – 16: Let’s change the both Highlights and Shadows color into “White“
Step – 17: Go to Elements > Photos and type “Peach Fruits“. Select the peach fruit picture that you want to apply the Drip effect to.
Step – 18: Finally change the page background color into white and use the drip image above the peach photo and adjust it according to your imagination. Here the drip image will blend with the background and looks pretty good.
Step – 19: Hence we can apply this easy tutorial to any of the fruit image and make the juicy dripping effect.
