How to Create a Gradient in Canva

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a gradient in Canva.

Step 1: Create a Shape. Go to Elements > Shapes > Select a square shape. You can also type the ‘R’ key to create a square. You can resize it to a rectangle if you like.

Step 2: With the rectangle selected, click on the color box. Then click on the colorful plus icon under document colors.

Step 3: Select the ‘Gradient’ option rather than Solid Color’. Select the gradient colors and the gradient style.

Step 4: Change the gradient colors to create your unique gradient. In our case, we are creating a gradient that blends from green to white. Experiment with various ‘gradient colors’ and ‘gradient styles’ to create the gradient you want.
