In this tutorial we will learn how to apply gradients color to text in canva.

Open Canva and click on the Create a design button found on the top right. You can choose about the size you want.

Go to the Elements tab on the side panel. Use the search bar at the top and type “gradient” and press enter. From the dropdown menu, select Graphics to filter your search. You’ll now see a variety of gradient-themed elements. Click on one to add it to your design.

I have selected the below gradient. The two default colors of this gradient(i.e, Pink and Yellow) can be changed as per your choice by clicking on the color picker.

Drag the resize handles on the corners of the selected image to adjust its size. Continue dragging until the image fills the entire design area.

Choose a font that suits your style and type “ART”. Choose the color of the text into white using the color selection panel.

Select the text and resize as per your requirement.

Lets adjust the transparency of the text. On the toolbar above the editor, select Transparency. Select and drag the slider to adjust, or enter “47” in the field next to it.

From the top menu, select Share. From the dropdown, choose a file type for your image download as PNG. Then select Download.

Go to the Uploads tab on the left side of the editor. Drag and drop the downloaded png file directly into the Uploads tab.

Once the image is uploaded, click on it to add it to your design in Page 2. Now you can adjust the size and the position of the image as needed.

On the toolbar above the editor, select Edit image and choose BG Remover also known as Background Remover to remove the background.

Here we can see the faded cool gradient effect to the text. The text is looking faded and light, Hence we need to improve its brightness.

Go to the Adjust tab. Under Select Area, choose if you want to adjust the Whole imageForeground, or Background. Then adjust the Highlights, Vibrance and Saturation as below.
