Magic Grab tool in Canva helps you redesign images by allowing you to select any object in your photo so you can edit, reposition, or resize it. It’s a powerful tool to make your images look just the way you want them.
Step 1 : Open canva and Select the photo you want to edit. Go to the “Elements” tab on the left side of the Canva workspace. Elements > Photos > Kids in garden. Choose the one you prefer and add it to your design.
Note: Magic Grab doesn’t work on the images in frames, grids, or page backgrounds.
Step 2 : On the editor toolbar, click Edit Photo and select Magic Grab under the Magic Studio tab.
Step 3 : While on the Click tab, click any object in the photo for easy repositioning, resizing, and editing in your designs while keeping its background. You can click and select multiple objects too in the photo. You can also use the Brush tab to refine your selection. Click Clear if you want to start over.
Step 4 : Here I have selected the multiple objects of the “girl” and “water can”. Click Grab and wait for your photo to be processed.
Step 5 : And when it’s done processing, you’ll see that I can now magically grab the subject portion of the image.
Step 6 : Once the object is selected, copy it (Ctrl+C or Command+C). Now I can move it around in order to reposition it where I want, or I could even resize it, if I needed to.
Step 7 : Finally, drag your image’s subject into the perfect spot, resize or edit it to your liking, independent of the photo background like the below.
Step 8 : Even we can delete the object if we want to, so that the photo will automatically remove the object as below.
Step 8 : Next, go to the “Elements” tab on the left side of the Canva workspace. In the search bar, type “Grass Background” and press Enter. Elements > Photos > Grass Background.
Step 8 : I choose the below grass photo and added to the design. Open the grass photo where you want to move the object.
Step 9 : Let’s paste the objects (Ctrl+V or Command+V) into the new photo. Magic Grab is a fantastic tool that can help you create unique and creative designs. This way, you can easily move objects between photos using Magic Grab!
