In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a halftone photo effect in canva.
Halftone Photo Effect – The halftone effect in photography or graphic design is a technique that simulates a continuous tone image through the use of dots. This effect is often used to give images a vintage or retro look.
Let’s get started.
Step 1 : Go to Canva and click on the Create a design button found on the top right. You can choose an size you want.
Step 2 : Go to Elements and type “Girl“, then click on Photos. Select the photo of a girl that you want to implement into your design.
Step 3 : Drag and drop the photo from Elements onto your design. Here we have choose the photo of the “girl” below.
Step 4 : Right-click on the photo, and select Set Image as Background or Replace Background.
Step 5 : This will set your chosen photo as the background of your design.
Step 6 : Next, go to the “Elements” tab on the left side of the Canva workspace. In the search bar, type “screen” and press Enter.
Step 7 : Click on the “screen” and under that you’ll find a variety of effects. choose the one you prefer.
Step 8 : Adjust the halftone amount and halftone scale to allow your photo to show through.
Step 9 : Congratulations! You are done! Click on Share to download the design
