In this tutorial, you can learn how to create swipe motion animation easily in Canva.
Here’s what our Swipe Motion Animation design will look like!
Let’s get started!
Step – 1 : Go to Canva and select the video section. Click on “Create blank”
Step – 2 : The new blank video page has been created. Go to bottom of the page and click “+” to add a page.
Step – 3 : We are going to animate four objects using swipe motion. Hence added 4 more pages.
Step – 4 : Go to Elements > Photos and type “Cake“.
Step – 5 : I will add some different variety of cakes in each page. In first page, I have added the chocolate cake image to our design by clicking on it. Select any of the resize handles on the corners of the selected image, then drag in or out to resize based on our needs.
Step – 6 : Click the background, go to color and select the color that you need for the image background. I have selected background color as “Yellow“.
Step – 7 : Repeat the process of “Step 4 to Step 6” for the balance 3 pages with different cake images and background color.
Step – 8 : Click in the middle of the two pages “Add transition” at the bottom of the editor.
Step – 9 : Let’s select transition type as “Flow”, Duration as 1.3 and select the flow of direction as “Left“. Use the Duration (seconds) slider to adjust the transition duration.
Step – 10 : Repeat the process of Step 8 and 9 for the rest of the pages.
Step – 11 : Now let’s go to “Text” and “Add a heading“. Select the “Font Style“, “Size” and “Color” of the text.
Step – 12 : From the editor toolbar, select the Animate icon. Animation options will show on the side panel. Find and select the Bounce animation to apply it to your text.
Step – 13 : Choose your preferred movement style and adjust the intensity and speed accordingly.
Step – 14 : Right-click the text box, then select Show timing. The text box’s timeline will appear on the video timeline below the editor. To adjust the timing and length of the text box, hover your mouse cursor over the timeline’s edge. Drag the handles to the left or right to adjust the timing and length of the text box.
Step – 15 : Repeat the process of “Step 11 to Step 14” for the other 3 cake names.
Step – 16 : Select “Edit timing” to change the page transition duration time.
Step – 17 : Click on the page duration the “Timing” as “2.5s” and toggle “Apply to all pages (4)“
Step – 18 : Remember, you can always adjust the speed and movement style to achieve the swipe motion effect you’re looking for. Select Share > Download to save and download your animation as an mp4 video file or animated GIF. Your design will download as an mp4 video file with a swipe animation between each page.
